Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: ·Last reviewed:
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules for using Lydmera. We have kept this short and clear because the rules really are this simple: use Lydmera in good faith for legitimate engineering work, do not try to harm the platform or other users, and verify outputs before applying them to real projects.
By using the Service, you agree to comply with this policy. It supplements our Terms of Service.
Prohibited activity
You may not use the Service to:
Conduct illegal activity
Engage in or facilitate conduct that violates applicable law in your jurisdiction, in the jurisdiction where the Service is operated, or in any jurisdiction where output is used.
Infringe intellectual property
Upload, share, or use content that infringes the copyright, trademark, trade-secret, or other intellectual-property rights of any third party.
Deploy malicious code
Upload, distribute, or attempt to deploy malware, viruses, ransomware, or other malicious software through the Service or against the Service's infrastructure.
Disrupt the Service
Interfere with, disrupt, or degrade the Service or any user's access through denial-of-service attacks, mass scraping, or excessive automated traffic.
Reverse engineer
Decompile, disassemble, or attempt to reverse engineer the Service, the calculation engine, the AI features, or any related software, except where such activity is expressly permitted by law and cannot be contractually prohibited.
Resell or sublicense
Resell access to the Service, sublicense your account, or redistribute Service outputs as your own product, except as permitted by your subscription plan.
Misuse AI features
Attempt to extract training data from AI models, generate intentionally misleading or fraudulent engineering outputs, use the Service to produce content that violates this policy, or use the Service's AI components for purposes unrelated to pool engineering analysis.
Spam, harass, or abuse
Use the Service or any Lydmera communication channel to spam, harass, threaten, or abuse other users, our staff, or any third party. We will not tolerate abuse or bullying of our support team in any situation.
Apply outputs to safety-critical uses without verification
Use Service outputs for the design, procurement, installation, or operation of real pool systems without independent verification by a qualified engineering professional. See our Engineering Disclaimer for the full requirements.
Bypass licensing or regulatory requirements
Use Service outputs to generate documentation for installations that bypass licensing, permitting, building code review, or other regulatory requirements in the jurisdiction where the pool will be built or operated.
Misrepresent professional qualifications
Use the Service while representing yourself as having qualifications you do not hold, or to produce documentation that fraudulently claims a qualified engineer has reviewed it when they have not.
Circumvent security or access controls
Bypass, attempt to bypass, or assist others in bypassing authentication, rate limits, usage quotas, or any other security or access control on the Service.
Misrepresent your identity
Create accounts using false information, impersonate other people or organisations, or create multiple accounts to evade restrictions imposed on a prior account.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service immediately, with or without prior notice, for any violation of this policy. Severity of response is proportional to severity of violation — minor infractions typically receive a warning before suspension; serious violations (security threats, illegal activity, repeated abuse) may result in immediate termination.
Termination for violation does not entitle you to a refund of prepaid subscription fees. See our Terms of Service for full termination terms.
Reporting violations
If you believe another user or party is violating this policy — infringing your intellectual property, abusing the Service to harm others, or otherwise breaking the rules above — report it to legal@lydmera.com.
For security vulnerabilities specifically (a way to bypass access controls, an exploitable bug, a data exposure), email security@lydmera.com — see our Security Overview for details of our responsible disclosure approach.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes take effect 30 days after we notify registered users by email or in-app notice.
